Price subject to revaluation
Some of our properties have a tag line 'Price subject to revaluation'.
And this is probably good news for you if you are buying. The price of shared ownership properties are set by an independent valuer with a formal Royal Institue of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) qualification. It takes into account the location and condition of the property and makes it fair for all involved; buyer, seller and housing association. The valuation has to reviewed every three months.
If values are falling, the benefit will be passed onto you, the buyer, before the transaction completes. So don't be put off by market conditions - falling prices will be passed on to you - you don't even have to ask.
